Six weeks old and a message in space

Minnie is now six weeks old. It seems forever since I first heard of her - she was only a day or two old at the time - but time is moving quite quickly now and hopefully the next two weeks will fly by :)

We couldn't be with you today Minnie, so sent a little message of love into deep space for you instead ... as you do.

17 days!

Only 17 days to go now :) I thought black was a bit harsh for a puppy's blog so we've gone for pink. Do hope no one is feeling nauseous? :) It matches the bed and Gordy Gordon (who should arrive tomorrow hopefully!) now I think? :)

Once Gordy Gordon and the puppy teething keyring thingie arrives, I think I am all run-out of things to buy? I suspect she doesn't really need anymore than I have got her, but if anyone sees any "must-have" puppy items, do let me know :)

I have excited cramp in my legs like I get on Christmas Eve when I just *can't wait*. I am a grown up really. Honest.

I guess I should start catching up on some sleep in advance ... zzzzzzzz

Five weeks today

Minnie's now five weeks old :-))))

Which means only three weeks to go before bringing her home.

Can I possibly wait that long? Well yes, I have no choice :-)

Happy five weeks old Minnie-Moo :-))) We luffs you.

Important Question ...

... Does she need a Gordy Gordon?!!!

It snores rather than squeaking apparently :-)

She's got to have one really, hasn't she?

Getting Ready for Socialising

I have been reading up about how important it is to socialise your puppy between the age of eight and 12 weeks.

I have purchased a fantastic product to help me in this quest - it will allow me to carry Minnie around to meet different people and see different things, without having to put her down on the ground and without my arms stretching to the floor.

I have been practicing the wearing of this carrier - and, since I do not yet have Minnie here, have been using a fine substitute: a microwaveable sheep :) Genius! Although slightly smaller, lighter and less fidgety than a small black lab pup I suspect!

Unfortunately I have been the object of ridicule from those who should really know better *sob*. Why I ask myself. Why?

Oh and erm, Jo, if you're reading this, you know that little surprise pressie you gave me at the weekend for Minnie? The one I wasn't supposed to open until she was here? Well erm, it's very nice thank you, she will love it :)

Puppy Bed

OK, so I know this will probably be wee'd upon and chewed to pieces rather quickly, but *how* cute is it?!!!

It looks very cosy, especially with a blanket added.

OMG about three weeks and three days to go - not that I'm counting - and then she's home :-)))

This is *sooooo* testing my patience.

I wish I could see her little face :-)

Puppy Shopping

I *may* have been doing a little puppy-shopping prior to Minnie's arrival.

Not sure if I have bought enough things - and there are more on the way!!!

Also coming is a very sweet puppy bed, which will probably be chewed to pieces in a few days but it will be nice and cosy while it lasts :)

Just 27 days to go now. Not that I am counting. Not that I have a countdown ticker signature and not that I have a printed sheet of days to go stuck to the wall. Noooooooo, not me.
