Winter in the Woods

Today I went for a walk in the woods with Muzzle and my older brother.

Which way shall we go?!!

I did some hiding (admittedly not very good hiding!)

And some posing ...

And my brother did some posing too - Muzzle thinks he's very handsome:

Don't let the elderly gent look deceive you though, he's still full of the joys of spring (and summer, autumn and winter!):

A Winter's Day with Minnie-Moo

Hello! Hope you all had a nice Christmas.

It was cold out today so I did lots of running to keep warm, but Muzzle made me sit and pose for some photos too. Not for too long though, we didn't want my bum to get cold!

It was a nice dry day, so I posed in the sunlight for a few shots ...

I did lots of playing with my ball too, which I think is one of the best things in the world.

We met different dogs and one tried very hard to persuade me to play but I was more interested in Muzzle and my ball. He was VERY fast, I think he would even have beaten me in a race!

The ground was still frosty and Muzzle found a nice cold area for me to sit on (isn't she lovely!) on the way home, for a few more photos.

Merry Christmas and a song

Merry Christmas to everyone who reads my blog. I hope you have a really nice few days with your family and friends.

This is my first Christmas and we have some yummy food and a warm fire. I like Christmas!

I thought you might like to hear a song my Daddy wrote for my brother a few years ago. It makes Muzzle cry.

Oldies Club dogs rehomed 2008

Muzzle helps a charity called Oldies Club - click here for the website - which helps to rescue and rehome older dogs in the UK.

Another committee member called Amy has made a montage of the dogs the charity has rehomed this year. I hope you will all take a look - there are lots of beautiful dogs of all sorts of different breeds and crosses. It made Muzzle cry - although pretty much everything makes Muzzle cry.

If you would like to make a donation to Oldies Club to enable them to help dogs next year, you can do so via their website (as above) - they take PayPal, cheques, bank transfer etc.

My extended family!

Today we had a nice walk in the morning with Muzzle and Daddy and then Daddy's Dad came to pick Muzzle and Dad up in the car to go to Avebury - and there was room in the car for me too! We met up with Dad's Mum and also Dad's uncle (who is younger than him, which is a bit confusing) and his wife. They were really nice and liked me lots :) Unfortunately they live in a place a long, long way from here so we won't see them again for ages :(

I went once before when I was younger and ate lot of sheep pooh, but today there was a definite absence of pooh munching which was a shame, but it was still fun!

Here's a photo of all of us, except Muzzle, who took the photo:

Afterwards we all came back to the house for a cup of tea and a cake by the fire and they got to meet my brothers and sister.

We had a fun day and I'm tired now so time for some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZs!

Our Garden Friend

Muzzle has a friend in the garden called Robin. I think there might be more than one but they look the same!

They like eating tuna cake - that's the tuna cake that Muzzle makes for us dogs, but the Robin comes to the kitchen window and sits staring at Muzzle until she takes a little cake out for him/her. They've got her wrapped around their tiny feet, not like poor, hard-done-by, deprived *me*!

They are quite cute though, aren't they?

We went for our walk today, but Muzzle didn't take *any* decent photos of me! It was getting dark and it was a bit miserable and Daddy had to spend ten minutes rescuing my ball-on-a-rope from a big spiky hedge after Muzzle did one of her spectacular backwards/upwards throws. Does anyone else have a mother that can't throw?

Anyway, no photos of me but we quite like this photo of a lovely tree in the sunset ...

Hopefully Muzzle will be back to "normal" (for her!) this week and will have some good photos of me again.

Look what Muzzle did to me!

Muzzle isn't sending Christmas cards this year so she made me pose wearing a Christmas hat so she could use it to wish people a Merry Christmas instead.

Don't I look full of seasonal joy?

Muzzle thinks I look REALLY cute in this one, I have to agree :)

Here's a photo of our nice cosy fireplace. That's meant to be Muzzle's armchair but we keep jumping on it as it's nice and close to the fire!

Talking of fire, here are a couple of shots Muzzle took of the fire close-up, take a look if you are feeling a bit chilly, they help warm you up!

Tomorrow a friend is coming round to help chop up some more wood - we are going to be using the stove a lot this winter Muzzle said. Hooray!

Snuggle Bunnies

Hello!

It's really cold here at the moment. I was snuggled up with my brother and sister on the sofa earlier and Muzzle put a blanket over us to keep us warm. It was nice and cosy :) Muzzle took the photo on her mobile phone as she thought we'd move if she got her proper camera out of the bag, but you can still see us snuggled up if you look closely.

We had a man come to sweep the chimney today so Dad lit our first fire of the year in the fireplace. It made a funny spitting noise and I was a bit wary but Muzzle and Dad said it was fine - it definitely made the house nice and warm. I think we will be having more fires lit in the stove this winter :)

My 11 month wish!

I am now eleven months young! I have a special wish, I hope someone can help?

I wish that Bruce will find a lovely new home to make him smile again.

Can you offer him a special home, or do you know someone that could?

He is being rehomed through the East Anglian Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club - you can read more about him by clicking HERE.

Collie Frolics

Today I had a really nice walk with Muzzle and dad and my collie brother Sno. It was freezing cold but really nice and sunny. Muzzle took lots of photos and lots of them were of my brother as he was having a really fun time.

He had a good roll in the grass (and something slightly less pleasant!):

Then he did a bit of posing - we're good at that:

We had a nice walk and Sno was in a really playful mood

So we ran around together - he is very fast when he runs but I'm fast too!

I think he's been watching my doing my dance moves ...

We like this photo too.

Muzzle took some photos of me (for a change!):

We played ball - do I look eager?!!!

Muzzle said I look really grown up now - although she is sure I don't look as big or grown up in real life!

Then we posed with Muzzle while Dad took a few photos of us. I quite like posing for the camera :) Sno sat a little further away than me - probably a blessing after he had rolled in "stuff".

It's always good to share though, right? Even if it's eau de fox pooh?!!

Card auction

Muzzle has donated a few Labrador cards to an auction which is being held by a forum called Woof Beginnings. The forum donates money to different rescues in the UK.

The cards can be seen here - and there are lots of other fab goodies up for grabs for a good cause too. Click here for the auction forum :)

Here's one of the cards being auctioned on the above link:

Thanks to everyone who has been sending good thoughts for the poorly black lab. He's the same age as my older brother. He should be ready to find a new home soon, Muzzle will let me tell you more about him then!

It's such a hard life.

Just a few photos of me enjoying a little sunshine on our walk today.

Funny looking Labrador

Today Muzzle took some photos of my brother, he was having a fun time running around. She was so focused on him, she didn't take any photos of me running!

But she did get some of us sat posing together. Well I was posing, he was watching the dogs walking behind him while attempting the splits.

That yellow thing in the sky ...

... We saw it again today, Muzzle said it's the sun! We haven't seen it so much recently, so she took lots of photos of me and I thought I'd share some with you ...

Sitting pretty:

Looking grown up!

Looking like the cheeky monkey I am!
