Sri Lankan Minnie - very sad news

Remember little Minnie who was named after me and was under the care of Dogstar Foundation in Sri Lanka? Very sadly she contracted parvo, just like her brother Wiggle and she passed away just a few days ago.

Sri Lankan Minnie was Muzzle and Dad's little sponsor pup - we are all very sad about Minnie and our thoughts are with Dogstar.

Sleep tight little ones.

Muzzle and Me

We were meant to be going somewhere today but after we set off, Muzzle and Daddy changed their minds, so they took me to a new forest for a walk instead. This meant I had lots of time off lead, which was better than the other plan they had, as I would have had to stay on lead the whole time for that.

Muzzle is still sorting through the photos, but I am posting this one of me with her. She is usually behind the camera so we don't have many photos of her. I luffs my Muzzle:

Amongst the buttercups

We found some sunshine again today - there are lots of buttercups around at the moment and Muzzle thinks I look lovely posing amongst them.

I had a good charge around with my brother:

Though he did honk a bit - here he is rather proudly sporting his eau de fox pooh ...

Time for home ... Muzzle called this one "Bird's Eye View"!.

The grass is rather long at the moment, it's liking walking around a maze in places.

My challenge finished yesterday so when Muzzle has finished sorting through all the entries, we will put up a new post and we will choose the winning entry asap. We are so pleased with how well it went, we've had lots of fun looking at all the photos :) Thanks to everyone that took part.

In between the rain showers ...

... I managed to sneak a run around in the sunshine! Impressive as it has rained A LOT today.

Then I had a race with Daddy. I let him think he could run faster than me

Then I showed him that I could go faster ...

and he realised he had no chance of beating me (I don't think he really needed telling but it was fun anyway!).

and back to posing again - we were lucky and got home before it started raining heavily AGAIN.

Duke and Sri Lankan Minnie

Yesterday Muzzle took a few photos of a friend's dog - we think he is very handsome so thought we would show you a photo ...

We also wanted to share some photos of my namesake, Minnie, who is being cared for by Dogstar in Sri Lanka. The money raised through my recent Minnie-Moo card auction paid for her rabies vaccination and some food. She is beautiful isn't she?

Her skin and coat haven't been in the best of condition but Dogstar are taking great care of her. Muzzle is sending her Reiki (healing) and asks anyone reading this to send some healing thoughts Minnie's way too please. Thank you :-)

Pretty Minnie:

We will be following her progress - if you would like to read more about Minnie and the other animals helped by Dogstar, checkout this blog and the main Dogstar Foundation website (link in my links section). Dogstar is amazing.

Pawsome!

I was very excited this morning when I looked at Jack's blog Daily Dose of Jack and discovered I'd been given an award - the Pawsome blog award! :-)

The info with the award says:

“This award is presented to those dog bloggers out there who know the meaning of GREATNESS. Their blogs are consistently interesting, funny, or informative. Their KINDNESS is extended to others without expectation of it’s return, and their FRIENDSHIP inspires others to do EXTRAORDINARY things. These are the blogs you can’t wait to read everyday.

In short, they are AWE-INSPIRING, full of wonder, and simply PAWsome! Pass this award on to 4 others who you feel exemplify a “Paw”some Blog, and leave a note saying why you think they deserve the Pawsome Award!”

and Jack choose me as one of the four to receive the award because:

"We like Minnie-moo because 1) we like saying Minnie-Moo :) and 2) her peoples found her at the rescue place and brought her home and made her very happy."

Thanks Jack!!! Muzzle said I make them very happy too :-)

Now I have to decide who to pass the award on to, which isn't going to be easy as I would love to give it to everyone. I shall have a good think.

Our internet has been down a lot for a day or so so I'm a bit behind with blogging but will try to catch up over the weekend. I have some new photos of Sri Lankan Minnie to share and also must get my challenge entries up!

Have a great weekend everyone,

M-M

Busy Minnie-Moo

Muzzle and I have been busy sorting out the entries for my FaceINhole challenge - we will be adding these to a new post soon. We are excited about choosing a winner, I think Muzzle is going to let me pick!

I've also been helping her to set up an online shop so we can earn some extra money to buy important things like dog food. She is selling her greetings cards at Folksy. You can see them here.

You may recognise the lovely dog in some of the card photos ... :)

Minnie-Moo's challenge - let's see your face in a hole!

Muzzle made me do this! It's a miserable day, weather-wise, in the UK, and she was looking online and found this FACEinHOLE site.

We've made this photo, which Muzzle keeps sniggering at. You should be able to click on it to see it a bit bigger.

To all my blogging friends - please visit the site and do a FACEinHOLE photo for your blog and then post a link to it on here so I can see. Pretty please!

If you call your post "Minnie-Moo's Challenge" and add a link back to this post, you will be in with the chance of winning a small prize when we choose our favourite one :) We'll give you until 18 May to post one up.

Minnie-Moo, who thinks this won't be the last time she finds her face in a hole ...

Updated 5/5/09 - wow, have had a great response so far, thank you to those that have entered already, we've loved looking at your photos - and we can't wait to see the new ones that are coming too :-)

Just a reminder that you need to post me a link to your blog to be included in the contest in case we don't otherwise see it.

Muzzle thinks we should add all the entries to a post on here, so we will start doing that over the next few days so you can see them all in one place, with a link to all the blogs that have entered.

Thanks again for taking part!

Naked - and last chance reminder

I have been helping Muzzle in the garden this after. She's been taking photos of Daddy's guitars (not sure why, surely that's not as exciting as taking photos of me?!) but she took a few shots of me too.

Dexter, you might need to calm yourself before you look at them - Muzzle took my collar off and I'm NAKED.

Also, a quick reminder/last plug for the fabulous greetings cards that feature photos of yours truly (that's me, that is!) which Muzzle and I are auctioning to raise money for Dogstar, in Sri Lanka. The auction ends tomorrow at 9pm.

Muzzle is happy to post them to anywhere in the world and she is covering the postage costs. More details HERE.

Strange thing in the garden

Muzzle was taking some photos in the garden earlier for Daddy. She was photographing this wooden box thing so I went to take a look and she caught me in one of the photos.

I thought there might be something exciting inside like food or toys, but no such luck, according to Daddy it contains music! It's something called a Coolidge Amp, which makes his guitar louder. He likes it anyway.

I thought it would be more interesting to pose for a few photos myself, so here I am:

Muzzle says I look as though I'm laughing in this one:

Mango, it wasn't about the monkey, honest!

New friends

My brother has been making some new friends - there's a lovely yellow lab who he had a game of chase with - though she's not strictly a new friend as I had a fantastic run around with her a few weeks ago.

Then they met up with a black lab boy and did fun sniffy stuff ...

And then he met a little dog and they said hello:

And then a lovely Poodle we've met before - she likes to tell you she would like a treat please - and NOW!

Muzzle also took this photo of the yellow Lab, which we think is beautiful. It was quite early (for Muzzle!), the sun was just coming out from behind the clouds and the grass was still wet from the night before.

Hope you enjoy :)

And a quick reminder that the Minnie-Moo greetings card auction ends in a few days. The full details and current bids are here.
